Abstract
e-dukasi.net (http://www.e-dukasi.net) is an education portal designed and developed by Center of Information and Communication Technology for Education (PUSTEKKOM), Department of National Education. It’s played role as a virtual learning resources center (VLRC), esp. for secondary education. It’s developed to meet the need of local contents (learning materials in Bahasa Indonesia) that can be accessed any time any where. E-dukasi.net aimed to (1) provide students and teachers abundant and varied online learning materials; (2) to facilitate inter-school communication and collaboration; and (3) to facilitate sharing educational information among education community.
Up till now, e-dukasi.net offer 20.000 items online exercise (drill and practice modules) dedicated to help students in facing national exams. There are also 1200 modules available online that can be accessed or downloaded freely by students and teachers. E-dukasi.net also offer video on demand (VOD), about 168 tittles will be uploaded by this year. E-dukasi.net team also developed teleconference application system that can be used for online tutorial, tele-collaboration and distance learning.
Auto statistic data of e-dukasi.net showed that total hit number since October 2006 to June 2007 is 794.335. So, the average of user hit per day is 3.139 visitors. Total number of visitors using unique or different internet protocol address is 26.369. It means that e-dukasi.net visited by 26.369 different IP address in all over Indonesia. On the other hand, the average of registered member since 2005 is about 3.000 new members per month.
Statistic data mentioned above, shows that e-dukasi.net is utilized and needed by potential users esp. students and teachers. So, it’s necessary for Pustekkom to continuously make some improvement both from the side of quantity or quality of its services.
